Vladimir Ponomarev

Vladimir Ponomarev’s work captures the essence of the sea using oils and acrylics, portraying moments of calm amid its vastness. Ponomarev often depicts boats, lighthouses, and the ever-changing water. Drawing inspiration from nature, the artist brings the sensations of wind, waves, and salty air into his art, exuding an essence of tranquility.

Rather than complex narratives, Ponomarev aims to evoke feelings of joy and lightness. After living in Cyprus for ten years, he has been heavily influenced by the island's character.

Ponomarev has had a number of exhibitions in Cyprus and Russia.
