Katerina Foukara

Katerina Foukara, a Surikov Academy graduate, holds a Master's in Fine Arts. Her PhD in Art Theory explored warrior saint imagery in Cyprus' monumental painting (XI-XVI centuries). Foukara exhibited in Cyprus, Russia, Armenia, and Greece and curated diverse art projects, such as the “Fish Mob Flash Mob” (2014/2018), which was an art show performance and a parade of recycled materials in the touristic area of Paphos near the old medieval castle of Paphos’; the international kids festival at the international school of Paphos(2012-2014); the art and virtual art exhibition "Recalling 2016" which was held at the Almyra hotel in Paphos (2017); and she curated and coordinated the International Sculpture Symposium “Myths - Sculptures European Capital of Culture Pafos 2017”.
